About the role

Muon seeks an Electrical & Harness Technician to join our Assembly, Integration, and Test team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated technician that will help both the Electrical Engineering team with prototype projects, as well as the Assembly, Integration, and Test team to prepare flight hardware as a part of building the satellites. This role will be located on-site at least 3 days per week at our headquarters in Mountain View, California.

Responsibilities

Build and test prototype and flight harnesses and avionics modules
Perform reworks on both engineering and flight hardware
Run qualification and acceptance tests on electrical flight hardware
Coordinate with supply chain team to kit parts, follow and contribute to written instructions for assembly and test
Help with setup and modification of test and development hardware in the lab
Assist engineers with taking measurements for design characterization

Qualifications

Experience manufacturing harnesses with high reliability requirements
Familiarity with NASA-STD-8739.4 and IPC-A-620
History with using electrical test equipment, such as power supplies and electric loads
Ability to independently troubleshoot electronics and test rack issues
Ability to rigorously follow written procedures and document results
Capable of some soldering (fine pitch rework not a requirement, but a nice-to-have)
Excellent communication skills
Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week

Nice-to-have Skills

Fine pitch soldering ability
Experience drafting harness drawing in CAD tools
Certification in relevant build/rework standards

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $40 to $60/ hourly and will depend on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process.
