Position Overview:
The Fund Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting, NAV calculations and financial statements of the Company’s US and International retail private credit investment funds. The Fund Accountant will work closely with the Company’s Senior Fund Accountants and Controller.
Essential Functions:
This hands-on, detail-oriented position will:
CREDIT specific tasks
- Review daily position and cash reconciliations prepared by Administrator.
- Prepare position and cash reconciliations for Webfolio (internal portfolio management system).
- Book trades (or review) in Webfolio and maintain portfolio data.
- Review and maintain additional loan security data required for valuations (spreads, maturities, etc.).
- Assist data entry team with quarterly portfolio company updates.
- Work with valuation specialists to run valuation engine and load prices in Webfolio.
- Review and test administrator contract data, interest accruals and OID amortization daily.
- Review all expense amounts and initiate payment process.
- Create and update RIC compliance tests.
- Calculate dividend amounts and initiate distribution process.
- Review Administrator data to ensure accuracy and results agree with projections.
- Subscriptions/Redemptions reconciliation to statements and cash.
- Oversee DRIP and tender calculations.
General tasks
- Assist in the preparation of semi-annual unaudited and annual audited financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly net asset value.
- Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation for the annual financial statement audit.
- Support the accounting team in the closing of transactions, including responding to information requests, review of allocations, review of reporting requirements and other support and analysis as needed.
- Respond to investor, sub-adviser and team member requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with daily work associated with accounting and reporting functions.
- Process, track and summarize expenses.
- Assist with preparation of company dashboards and board decks.
- Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Must possess a four-year college degree with a major in Accounting
- One to three years of accounting or audit experience
- Previous experience with Investment Company Accounting and ASC 820 (FAS 157) preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Astute attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities against key deadlines
Other Attributes:
- Must be able to work independently, but contribute in a team-oriented environment
Salary Range - $80,000 - $100,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
