Salesforce Team Lead

What You'll Do

• Guide and support a team of Salesforce developers and technical resources (usually 2-5 direct reports).

• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce technical solutions.

• Build, compose, and coordinate the development of custom applications with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.

• Manage the end-to-end Salesforce project lifecycle including requirement analysis, build, development, testing, deployment, and support.

• Coordinate code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure quality assurance processes.

• Work with business collaborators, project managers, and other IT teams to define project scope and timelines.

• Support guidelines and ensure adherence to Salesforce governor limits.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including build specs, integration diagrams, and deployment guides.

• Stay updated with Salesforce platform updates and new features, recommending adoption strategies where appropriate.

• Manage risks, technical dependencies, and provide timely status updates.

• Support integration with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.

• Drive release management and DevOps practices with technical input.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related fields, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 7+ years in Salesforce development with 2+ years in technical leadership.

• Demonstrated expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs.

• Experience in Salesforce architecture, integration patterns, and data modeling.

• Proven team leadership and mentoring skills.

• Salesforce certifications preferred (Platform Developer I/II, Certified Technical Architect).

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours supporting Australian and United States business hours when needed.

• CPQ background is a plus but not required.
