Requirements
  • Maintain current licensure in the state.
  • Successfully complete a Basic Cardiac Life Support course.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall functioning of the Nursing Department.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care from admission to discharge.
  • Assist with achieving patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways in accordance with the hospital's mission.
  • Assess, plan, evaluate, and ensure implementation of patient pathways to achieve identified outcomes.
  • Provide leadership in the delivery of quality nursing care for patients receiving services within the Nursing Department.
  • Assess, treat, and care for individuals based on age-specific needs using a developmental perspective.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competence in the designated skills identified for the position.
  • Supervise the smooth functioning of the unit on the assigned shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • CNOR certification.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • A master's degree in Nursing or Management.
