Amentum is now hiring for a Librarian – Data & Information Technology (All Levels) – CSIA positions in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:
- Classifies, catalogs, retrieves, loads, transfers, and maintains library of data set contained on various types of media; and performs other tape/media library functions that include, but are not limited to, mounting, refilling, unpacking, staging, labeling, and initializing tapes.
- Classifies media according to content, purpose, principal user, date generated, or other criteria.
- Assigns identification number, following standard system.
- Prepares catalog of media classified.
- Stores tapes and other media according to classification and identification number. Issues tapes/other media and maintains charge-out records. Inspects returned tapes/other media and notifies supervisor when tapes/other media are worn or damaged.
- Removes obsolete tapes/other media from library, following data retention requirements.
- Preserves data for an organization, often in the form of magnetic, audio, laser, visual, hard copy, or other forms and assists groups and individuals in locating and obtaining materials.
- Gives information on library activities, facilities, rules, and services.
- Explains and assists in use of reference sources and equipment. Describes or demonstrates procedures for searching for data.
- Searches files to locate information.
- Issues and receives materials for circulation or for use.
- Maintains reference and circulation materials.
- Answers correspondence on special reference subjects.
- May compile list of data materials according to subject or interests.
- May select, order, catalog, and classify materials.
- May print, separate, and distribute computer-generated output.
- May send tapes/other media to off-site location for secure storage.
- May maintain and update technical reference library.
- May maintain files of program developmental records and operating instructions.
- May work in computer room operations, performing tasks such as loading and removing paper and printouts and reels of tape.
- Has experience in logging library data into electronic library tools under the guidance of senior staff.
- Has experience and be able to plan, design, deploy, and manage electronic library systems for multiple users.
- Has experience in ensuring proper security is maintained.
- Has experience in the creation of strategies for making materials available to various audiences and be responsible for cataloging all library resources, so it’s easier for visitors to navigate and search for information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience.
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
Compensation:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $45,000 - $100,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
