Assist in the interpretation, planning, and execution of reliability and maintainability requirements under the guidance of senior engineers on various government and commercial contracts. Perform analysis of failure data and development of corrective and preventative fleet maintenance planning. Participate in discussions on redesign alternatives to mitigate failures.
YOUR IMPACT
- Conduct Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Conduct Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
- Evaluate mission mode profiles as defined by contract and customer orders
- Develop and exercise reliability mathematical models
- Analyze test data for failure trends
- Draft work instructions for maintenance procedures and post-production efforts
- Identify optimum troubleshooting methods based on built-in test (BIT) equipment and failure probabilities
- Coordinate with department managers and chief engineers regarding the R&M interface.
- Special Tool Design for maintenance and troubleshooting for Oshkosh Fleet of Vehicles
- Review design proposals for impact to vehicle maintainability
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Student is working towards bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Advanced mathematical and statistics background
- Data Analytics experience
- This is a summer position. Student must be willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the Summer of 2025 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Oshkosh, WI).
- Graduation date of December 2025 or later.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- A strong mathematical background
- Experience in reliability & maintainability engineering
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
- Prior experience working on or with complex vehicle systems or machinery
- Experience with Microsoft Access tools, VBA coding, Data base management
- Experience with PTC products including Windchill, Creo, and Windchill Quality Solutions
- Experience with Reliability and Maintainability Software (WRR, JAMES, MADE, etc)

Pay Range:
$18.00 - $37.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
