The anticipated base salary for candidates for this open role is $138,000 to $190,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent upon factors that may include but are not limited to the type, quality and length of experience within the job type and length of experience within the industry, education, and geographic location within the United States.
We are looking for a Field Reimbursement Manager to join our Market Access Team. The Field Reimbursement Manager is a field-based role responsible for Revance Therapeutics and provides practice support and patient affordability strategies in alignment with brand strategic initiatives. This role must possess a strong understanding of the complex and evolving US reimbursement and access landscape, including reimbursement trends, private and government payer perspectives, and healthcare policy. The Field Reimbursement and Access Manager will also demonstrate a high level of business acumen and expertise across market access fundamentals.
Your Main Responsibilities:
The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is integral in providing support to minimize reimbursement barriers for patients and providers to access to Revance Therapeutics products. The FRM will assist practices and institutions in navigating the complex reimbursement environment. The FRM is responsible for strategically working with key decision makers to provide education for payer policies, prior authorization, access options and providing information to empower practices to resolve the most complex access issues. They also support ethical and provider-initiated reimbursement strategies and proactively communicate payer criteria/terms and processes, as these relate to reimbursement for Revance Therapeutics products.
The FRM works closely with internal and external partners to ensure a superior patient access and reimbursement experience. This role will also provide market insights to the brand team and work collaboratively with both field-based teams and internal stakeholders in communicating coverage challenges across specific payer channels with guidance on how to navigate and minimize those potential hurdles.
- Deep technical understanding of coverage, coding, payment and distribution of specialty products and the rules and regulations that govern provision of reimbursement support.
- Work directly with internal partners to build strategic patient access and reimbursement account plans and objectives.
- Proactively communicate and explains Revance Therapeutics reimbursement and access programs, policies, procedures and resources.
- Keep abreast of ever-changing market dynamics and industry trends for specialty products managed under the medical benefit especially as it relates to CMS reimbursement models.
- Urgently anticipate, navigate and address individual account and patient access issues that occur by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee, manage and share responsibility for risk issue resolution and root cause analysis as it relates to customers and use of our patient support services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners including but not limited to: Payer Account Team, Marketing, Commercial Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Data & Analytics.
- Execute on access and reimbursement strategic priorities, working with business partners to identify and prioritize key accounts for alignment of reimbursement support to achieve goals.
- Identifies self-development actions to constantly adapt and grow expertise to increase industry knowledge.
- Build a culture of compliance to ensure that all activities are fully aligned with Company policies and procedures, applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries with understanding how to navigate coverage and reimbursement across all payer channels, revenue cycle management, market access or related commercial function.
- Direct experience collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders and managing projects.
- Experience developing strategies to optimize patient access within highly competitive markets.
- Must demonstrate excellent working knowledge of reimbursement and the practice management environment.
- Demonstrated ability of applying reimbursement knowledge to address/resolve patient access barriers.
- Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding goals and objectives.
- Previous experience in completing and implementing attainable business plans.
- Understanding of external laws, codes and company policies that apply to the healthcare industry.
- Working knowledge of the compliance and regulatory environment for manufacturers in the pharmaceutical space.
- Strong financial competence and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to interface with customers, cross-functional partners, alliance partners, and senior management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and without significant management oversight.
- Combination of strong short- and long-term strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactical plans.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and open to taking on additional related responsibilities based on organizational needs
