Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods, as well as use office machinery such as fax and copy machines and telephones.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality service to customers and cross-sell within the existing book of business.
  • Serve as the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company and designated accounts.
  • Assist in managing relationships with clients, including business managers and individual customers.
  • Address coverage issues, perform contract and exposure analysis, and handle or direct inside service work for client accounts.
  • Manage endorsement activity, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, formal proposal preparation, and policy checking and binding.
  • Handle all areas of personal insurance and inform the Producer about strategic account issues, claims, and other potential problems.
  • Oversee renewal and account-management processes and ensure Standard Operating Guidelines are followed for insurance transactions.
  • Build and maintain client relationships by meeting client expectations.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant communication to clients through email, phone contact, and meetings.
  • Respond to client inquiries and issues within 24 hours.
  • Resolve or assist with service and claims issues and questions.
  • Assist in designing or independently design insurance plans for clients.
  • Assist clients with appropriate coverage changes and identify marketing opportunities during client contacts.
  • Attend client meetings to review summary reports, make presentations, and maintain client relationships.
  • Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, exposures, coverage gaps, stewardship programs, and related information.
  • Monitor and review client satisfaction at least quarterly and report findings and issues to the Producer.
  • Cross-sell or refer new-business leads to appropriate departments.
  • Stay current on carrier websites, carrier communications, coverage options, and billing procedures.
  • Quote new-business and renewal options, including higher liability limits, higher deductibles, earthquake coverage, earthquake deductible buyback coverage, flood coverage, excess flood coverage, increased mold coverage, identity theft coverage, umbrella or excess liability and excess uninsured or underinsured coverage, employment practices liability and board of directors and officers coverage, inland marine coverage, guaranteed replacement cost, equipment breakdown coverage, and enhanced auto coverages.
  • Review and check policies using Standard Operating Guideline checklists, including proposals, applications, letters, invoicing, summaries of insurance, certificates, evidence of insurance, and binders.
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable for the book of business.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent agency EPIC files, document client conversations in emails and notes, and follow MIB electronic and EPIC procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • A current California Department of Insurance license is preferred.
  • Three to seven years of experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is preferred.

US employers plan 3.2% merit pay rises for 2027 amid economic uncertainty

US employers plan to maintain moderate salary increases in 2027, according to Marsh's Mercer QuickPulse survey of 1,001 organisations. Base salary merit increases are projected at 3.2%, with total salary increases at 3.5%, marking four consecutive years of similar rates. Economic uncertainty continues influencing compensation decisions, with 57% of employers expecting at least moderate impact. High Tech (3.8%), Banking (3.7%), and Energy (3.6%) lead in merit budgets, whilst Consumer Goods (2.9%) and Healthcare (3.0%) lag behind. Employers expect to promote 8.4% of their workforce in 2027, down from 8.6% in 2026. Off-cycle salary adjustments remain common, with 64% of organisations providing them. AI adoption in compensation planning is growing, with 70% of organisations reporting some automation, primarily for market pricing recommendations and benchmarking.
