Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in fundraising and marketing for nonprofits.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing, implementing and analyzing fundraising campaigns.
  • Experience managing direct mail and digital programs that focus on acquisition, retention and engagement.
  • Responsible for annual budget/reforecasts and long range forecasts, inclusive of revenue and expense.
  • Comfortable with analyzing, reporting on and synthesizing numbers to determine direction.
  • Experience managing others, whether a direct report or an outside vendor.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Develop creative and strategic strategy, implementation and analysis for fundraising plans consistent with CR’s unique mission and marketing principles.
  • Implement plans and analysis results of all fundraising efforts.
  • Manage a communications program that works to acquire, retain and engage donors through direct mail and digital channels.
  • Oversee annual budget/reforecasts and long range forecasts, inclusive of revenue and expense.
  • Work cross-departmentally with Marketing, Development, Data, Digital, Consumer Insights, Finance, and others to optimize fundraising initiatives.
  • Serve as main contact for the donations fulfillment vendor and sweepstakes administration vendor.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, identifying opportunities to improve Consumer Reports’ fundraising methods, structure, tools, and staff expertise.
  • Lead staff with a focus on creating an innovative, collaborative, performance-driven culture.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with CR Values, Compliance Program, and other policies and procedures.
