This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in our Dublin office three times per week.

With an agile, sprint-to-sprint mindset and an ambitious roadmap,you’llcontribute to key initiatives such as advancing our AWS Personalization Strategy,optimisingstore search with OpenSearch, tackling UI challenges,modernizingstore technologies, and achieving release independence.This is yourchance tocontribute tohow thousands of users interact with our platform, making every click intuitive, every journey effortless, and every experience memorable. 

As amid levelfrontendengineer,you’llwork closely with other SquadEngineerstohelpscope and deliver impactful features.You’llhave the chance to contribute to Front-End projects (React)that enhance our eCommerce Store.

Our Squads typically consist of 1x Principal Engineer, 3-4x Back-End, 1–2x Front-End, 1–2x QA, and 1x Automation QA and team members are spread across multiple locations. The Engineering Manager, whoyou’llreport into is based in Ireland. 

Our eCommerce Squads are close-knit, collaborative, and passionate about enhancing the store (supporting ~7million users) andwe’dlove foryou to join us. 

Tech stack used by this team: 

Java 17, Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Web Stack, Spring Data or Spring JDBC), RESTful webservices, Apache Camel, AWS, Terraform, API, Oracle, Postgres, NoSQL DB, PL/SQL, JMeter, Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Git, React, Docker/Containerization, Open Search, Kafka, Lambda.

The skills you will bring: 

• You have4+years' experiencebuilding andmaintainingmodern web applications

• Good experiencewith React and JavaScript/TypeScript 

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and modern frontend development practices 

• Experience building accessible user interfaces, including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and usability best practices 

• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs 

• Familiarity with frontend testing approaches and writing maintainable, well-tested code 

• Comfortable working as part of an agile, cross-functional team 

• Exposure to AWS, CI/CD pipelines, or Java/Spring Boot environments is a bonus, but notrequired

• Hasparticipatedinteam design discussions by presenting and defending proposed solutions to technical stakeholders such asSeniorEngineers orPrincipal Engineers.
