- A high school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience is required.
- For Wisconsin locations only, a high school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience plus graduation from a medical assistant school or training program, or an education equivalency for certification, is required.
- Three years of experience is required.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- The role requires constant standing and walking; frequent communication, hearing, lifting/carrying or pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 pounds, reaching, gripping, keyboard use and data entry, and near and far vision; occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements, lifting or pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50 pounds, lifting or moving patients, smell-based odor detection, and driving.
- Present medications to patients and observe ingestion or administer medications using specified procedures.
- Take vital signs or observe patients to detect responses to medication and report reactions.
- Restock medication inventories.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
- Ensure patient safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
