  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 11+ years of progressive technical experience in engineering
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in engineering or related technical fields
  • Strong understanding of the engineering development lifecycle across multiple engineering disciplines (SEIT, SW, HW, O&S)
  • Top Secret Clearance/w SCI eligibility and willingness to sit for a poly
  • Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 12 years of progressive technical experience in engineering (Preferred)
  • 6+ years of leadership experience in engineering or related technical fields (Preferred)
  • Understanding of business development and capture strategies, Earned Value Management/Cost Account Management (EVM/CAM), program risk management, and technical, cost, & schedule impacts as it relates to managing engineering projects (Preferred)
  • Experience working on Agile programs and methodology (Preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Functional oversight of an engineering organization working multiple programs, IRAD initiatives, and new business capture opportunities
  • Develops a fundamental understanding of technical execution on key programs
  • Understanding internal and external customer needs and roadmaps
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and create a training roadmap to improve engineering excellence
  • Staffing and workload forecasting
  • Oversight of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new and experienced employees
  • Employee inclusion, engagement, and mentoring
  • Performance management and career development
