Under the supervision of Prof. David Wachsmuth - School of Urban Planning, the job is a full-time Research Assistant 1 position conducting geospatial data collection and compilation of data working with the Curbcut team (curbcut.ca) at McGill University to build a new public national housing data platform, funded by the federal government.

The position will involve:

- working with the rest of the Curbcut team to build a cutting-edge pipeline for ingesting, transforming

- visualizing geospatial data across a range of spatial and temporal scales.

The position involves contributing to a large and complex multi-language codebase.

Qualifications:

- Possesses subject matter expertise acquired through a BSc/Bachelor of Engineering or higher degree

- Has a minimum of 2 years relevant experience to the research project

- Previous experience developing a large geospatial analysis web application

- At least one year experience with the following technologies:

                - postgreSQL

                - postGIS

                - maplibre

                - Node.JS

                - React

                - Typescript

                - AWS

- French/English bilingual

- Ability to work in a small team

Salary: $29.21 hourly

Hours per week: 40
