Kpler is growing fast and the Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) team needs a Paralegal!
Here are some of the things, we expect you’ll do:
Due Diligence Coordination:
⦁Coordinate the completion of Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), including those with technical and cybersecurity inquiries, collaborating with relevant departments (IT, Engineering, LRC).
⦁Assist in gathering, organising, and formatting responses to DDQs, ensuring accurate and compliant responses to technical questions.
⦁Maintain up-to-date templates and document repositories for frequently asked questions and recurring DDQ topics.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
⦁Maintain a secure and organised database of legal, technical, and compliance documents for efficient DDQ reference.
⦁Maintain up-to-date templates and document repositories for frequently asked questions and recurring DDQ topics.
Collaboration:
⦁Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers as required for DDQs, especially on data protection and cybersecurity matters.
Qualifications:
⦁Bachelor’s degree in Law
⦁Knowledge of IT/computer science is an asset
⦁Proven experience as a Paralegal
⦁Strong understanding of data protection, cybersecurity principles, and technical compliance requirements (preferred but not required)
⦁Excellent research, analytical, and organisational skills, with the ability to understand technical documentation
⦁Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
⦁Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
⦁Proficiency in legal research tools as well as basic knowledge of information security software or platforms (such as DocuSign, encrypted storage solutions, etc.)
⦁Effective communication and interpersonal skills
⦁“Get up and go” attitude – you will do your best at all times.
