  • Bachelor's: Nursing
  • Completion of a accredited Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Program with certification in wound and ostomy
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California
  • CWOCN-Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse
  • DL-Valid Drivers License Class C
  • AUTO-Automobile Insurance
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • Current PPD
  • Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills; legible handwriting for documentation of patient records in a clear and concise manner
  • Basic understanding of home care services, clinical standards of care and practice
  • Must have clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability to effectively plan and provide patient care
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • Must be able to handle sensitive issues, conflict with or among others
  • Must be able to deal with a challenging work environment from time demands and conflicting priorities
  • Maintain a positive and professional image and demonstrate self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements
  • At orientation and annually thereafter, must be able to meet core competencies for position and area of specialty, as appropriate

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a clinical resource for wound and ostomy related care issues for clinical staff, administrative staff, Quality department, and materials management department
  • Provide direct patient care for complex wound and ostomy patients as directed
Desired Qualifications
  • 1 year of recent, supervised experience as a Wound/Ostomy nurse in acute or home care setting is strongly preferred
  • 1 year experience in a home health position preferred
