Adjunct Instructor in Leadership in Industry @ Brandeis University

Position Overview: Brandeis University's Graduate Professional Studies (GPS) invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach Leadership in Industry, a 3-credit online course within the Master of Science in Applied Leadership program. This course explores the complexities of leadership across diverse industries, addressing key trends, challenges, and strategies for effective management and innovation. The instructor will deliver high-quality, engaging course content that integrates theoretical insights, applied exercises, and real-world case studies to develop students’ critical leadership competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Course Development and Delivery: Design and teach course materials focusing on leadership theories and frameworks, addressing topics such as digital transformation, globalization, workforce diversity, and sustainability.
Case Studies and Applications: Incorporate real-life examples and case studies to help students evaluate and respond to industry-specific leadership dilemmas.
Student Engagement: Foster a collaborative and inclusive online learning environment, guiding students in developing adaptive leadership strategies that foster innovation, resilience, and organizational success.
Assessment: Develop assignments and assessments that measure student understanding of leadership challenges and their ability to apply ethical decision-making and strategic problem-solving.
Continuous Improvement: Integrate emerging trends and advancements into course content to ensure relevance and alignment with program goals.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional experience in leadership roles within diverse industries or sectors.
- Strong knowledge of strategic thinking, ethical decision-making, and change management in the context of industry challenges.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills in an online learning environment.
Preferred:
- Prior teaching experience at the graduate level or conducting professional leadership training.
- Familiarity with online education platforms and course development tools.
- Published work or professional presentations on leadership, innovation, or related topics.
