Senior Hostess

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and professional Senior Hostess to join our hospitality team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this leadership-focused role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience while managing front-of-house operations with excellence and grace. As a Senior Hostess, you will oversee daily host operations, mentor junior staff, and ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and exceptional service.

• Greet guests with genuine warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our organization's commitment to hospitality
• Manage reservation systems and optimize table assignments to maximize seating efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Oversee host stand operations, including phone management, waitlist coordination, and guest flow throughout service periods
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior hostesses and front-of-house staff, providing constructive feedback and performance guidance
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns with empathy and problem-solving skills, resolving issues promptly and professionally
• Coordinate with management, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, special requests, and guest preferences to enhance personalized service
• Monitor and uphold cleanliness and organization standards at the host stand and entrance areas
• Assist with special events, private dining arrangements, and group reservations as needed
• Demonstrate proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and reservation management software

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Hostess or in a similar front-of-house hospitality role
• Proven supervisory or lead experience with the ability to train and motivate team members
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with POS systems and reservation management software
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Professional demeanor with a friendly and empathetic approach to guest interactions
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluency in English; multilingual abilities (Arabic, French, or other languages) are highly desirable
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
