Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a fine dining or upscale casual environment.
  • Ability to work the 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. shift several times a week.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong organizational skills, including follow-up, time management, multitasking, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate and interact positively with all hotel departments.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move goods weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods indoors in a climate-controlled workstation.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Responsibilities
  • Provide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality and customer service expected by guests.
  • Understand and improve dining service standards and guest relations; monitor guests’ dining experiences to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly and courteously to correct problems.
  • Explain menu items to guests, understand allergy concerns, answer general inquiries, and maintain accurate knowledge of menu items and beverage programs.
  • Assist other team members as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Complete the setup and breakdown of a section, including detailed cleaning of the work area and surrounding areas.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • A second language is desirable.
  • A desire to build knowledge of traditional cooking, wine, beer, and cocktails.
