Requirements
  • Experience building or rebuilding a business development representative or sales development representative team, with evidence of the team's performance before and after.
  • Experience in fintech or financial services and understanding of how buy-side institutions purchase and engage portfolio managers or research directors.
  • Ability to coach representatives individually, identify performance barriers, create improvement plans, and follow through.

Responsibilities
  • Own the performance, pipeline output, KPI attainment, and development of an eight-person global business development representative team.
  • Coach each representative through call reviews, outreach audits, objection handling, and ideal customer profile targeting.
  • Build and enforce accountability standards, track results, and address underperformance early.
  • Partner with account executives to ensure business development representatives generate qualified pipeline that progresses beyond meetings.
  • Work with demand generation to convert inbound leads quickly while running structured outbound motions into buy-side accounts.
  • Own and reassess team KPIs so they measure quality pipeline drivers rather than activity volume alone.
  • Develop representatives for advancement into closing roles.
  • Report pipeline health, team performance, and market feedback directly to the Chief Revenue Officer as a strategic partner.
  • Identify and build processes, playbooks, and tooling to improve team speed and effectiveness over time.
  • Ensure the team consistently achieves pipeline targets for both quantity and quality.
  • Drive business development representative contributions toward 30% of paired account executive revenue goals.
  • Place underperforming representatives on a clear improvement trajectory or transition them out of the role.
  • Assess the team, refine KPIs, and build a performance framework trusted by the Chief Revenue Officer.
