Responsibilities
  • Manage freight coverage to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, exceeding customer expectations for on-time service and proactively addressing any service issues.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships and communicate consistently and professionally with customers, offering support in challenging situations and relaying service updates.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with carriers, addressing issues like capacity shortages and working to influence capacity during high-demand periods.
  • Coordinate load status and appointments, track load progress, reschedule pick-ups or deliveries as needed, and coordinate with carriers for timely service updates.
  • Manage detention information, address invoice discrepancies, and work on automating processes for greater efficiency.
  • Set up new vendor profiles, update load status systems, and ensure all shipping requirements align with customer and carrier needs.
