  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in composites fabrication or manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in aerospace or electric vehicle industries.
  • Strong understanding of composite materials, fabrication methods, and assembly processes.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the composites shop team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Oversee the fabrication and assembly of composite components, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for composite fabrication processes, emphasizing safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize manufacturing workflows.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance technical skills and ensure consistent application of best practices.
  • Monitor production schedules and resource allocation to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Drive process improvements and innovation, including the adoption of advanced composite manufacturing techniques and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations throughout the production process.
  • Track, analyze and improve on KPI’s for cost, quality, on time and productivity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field or advanced certifications.
  • Experience with automated composite manufacturing equipment or advanced layup techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with lightweight structures and high-performance composite materials.
  • Knowledge of digital manufacturing tools, including MES and ERP systems.
  • Expertise in sustainability practices and lifecycle analysis within composites manufacturing.
