Role Responsibilities

• Drive Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) strategy
• Define tools, techniques, and technologies to secure Business Wire’s infrastructure, applications, and data 
• Undertake new infrastructure/application development projects 
• Integrate security by design best practices and Compliance standards into Business Wire environments 
• Foster a culture of security consciousness while understanding the trade-offs between security, usability, and performance at scale 
• Assess new technology and evaluate existing systems and software to support migration and modernization efforts 
• Provide technical input to integrate existing systems during the analysis, design, and implementation phases of projects 
• Assist with defining mitigation strategy. Engaging in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks 
• Work closely with L2/L3 support teams to proactively identify and resolve issues 

Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years ears of experience building, maintaining, and managing security aspects of large-scale distributed infrastructure and applications  
• Strong experience in UNIX system administration and automation with an emphasis on security,security orchestration and automation (SOAR), Container and Cloud security 
• Demonstrated threat modeling capabilities in networking, infrastructure, and applications as they impact the security posture of an organization 
• Ability to build proof-of-concepts solutions, innovate, and partner with Engineering and Operations teams to drive adoption 
• Red/Blue/Purple team assessments, security policy development, and audit automation 
• Security tools rationalization assessment 
• Penetration testing, proactive vulnerability management, and incident response services 
• Experience with industry standard logging, monitoring, detect and response solutions (Splunk, Defender,eSentire, Alertlogic, etc.)   
• Certification: CISSP, CEH

• Certification: CISM, CISA, NCSF, AWS Security/Solutions Architect 
• Experience in Compliant cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OCI, Terraform, Kubernetes) specific to the NIST guidelines 
• Leveraging advanced threat detection and response AI solutions

• The base salary range for this position is $150K-$190K.  Offered salary will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.  Business Wire reserves the right to modify this salary range at any time.
