Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Cyber claims handling
  • Strong understanding of insurance law and contracts

Responsibilities
  • Manage the handling of a cyber claim event (BEC, ransomware, data breach, etc)
  • Assist with managing the incident response team of privacy counsel, digital forensics team, and data mining/notification vendors when applicable
  • Investigate insurance claims by interviewing the insured to determine cyber event damages
  • Review and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage
  • Document claims activities and findings comprehensively and timely in the claims management system
  • Negotiate claim settlements and authorize payments within prescribed limits
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on complex claims and represent the company in external negotiations
  • Assist in fraud detection and validation processes to prevent fraudulent claims
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
