- 3 years of course work including at least 3 laboratory courses in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related fields
- Theoretical understanding of established principles, theories, and concepts in area of responsibility
- Previous research experience in the academic setting is beneficial
- Detail oriented and thorough in following procedures, maintaining analytical instrumentation, and documenting experiments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including all MS Office applications
- Perform research and development experiments under the direction of a Coherus advisor
- Make detailed observations, maintain laboratory notebooks, and help analyze data, and interpret results
- Help prepare technical reports
- Assess current scientific literature applicable to the project
