Requirements
  • 12+ years of relevant financial experience, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility at a high-growth public technology company
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Exceptional proven experience in driving, identifying and acting on financial insights on both the commercial (revenue-generating) and cost sides of a business
  • Prior experience leading, developing, and growing a high-performing team of finance professionals
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to tell a story with numbers
  • Experience leading both corporate FP&A and business partnership
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvement and automation in a finance function
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence technical, business, and operational decisions
  • Enthusiasm about being a part of Aurora's mission
Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a world-class FP&A function that provides data-driven insights across Aurora as we commercialize our technology
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and business analytics activities, adapting these as the business grows and changes
  • Work across Aurora to improve financial discipline and enhance the financial and business acumen of non-financial leaders, becoming a trusted partner of leaders at Aurora and helping to ensure spend is aligned with plans and priorities
  • Drive the continual improvement and simplification of our financial processes, to include the potential future implementation of planning and reporting software tools
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure their professional growth
  • Be hands-on as well as strategic; we need leaders who are willing and able to operate at all levels
Desired Qualifications
  • Logistics, SaaS, Automotive, or Mobility experience
  • CPA (or international equivalent), CFA or MBA
  • Directly responsible for and/or heavily involved in the selection, implementation and ongoing maintenance of sophisticated FP&A tools (e.g. Essbase, Anaplan) that tie directly into corporate accounting systems
