  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of up to 8 hours; use fingers for patient care, writing, and computer entry; lift up to 25 pounds; push supply carts up to 30 pounds; push wheelchairs with patients weighing up to 325 pounds; and stoop, bend, reach above shoulder level, hear normal conversation, and maintain general, near, and peripheral vision.
Responsibilities
  • Engage patients politely, promptly, and compassionately during practice-based interactions.
  • Perform clerical patient-service functions including check-in, consent, check-out, pre-registration, real-time eligibility verification, registration, MyChart education, appointment and testing scheduling, point-of-service payment collection, and responding to form and medical-record requests.
  • Provide waiting-room concierge service and hands-on support for kiosk check-in.
  • Facilitate practice opening and closing, cleanliness, incoming mail and deliveries, cash management and reconciliation, and scanning and indexing incoming faxes.
  • Address in-basket clerical pool messages for practice-based team members.
  • Partner with Access Center Patient Engagement Partners on time-sensitive scheduling requests.
  • Connect Access Center Clinical Triage Specialists with practice-based care-team members for time-sensitive clinical inquiries.
  • Anticipate and address patient needs by partnering with organizational team members and departments.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of practice-based experience or experience in a similar healthcare setting.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Graduation from an administrative training program.
