Verdant Robotics is on the leading edge of robotic farming. We are looking for a software engineer intern to join our team to help in the development of our machine learning, fleet operations, and engineering web applications. Your contribution to our mission will have a direct and meaningful impact in the world.

During your internship, you will be responsible for designing and building front end software – enabling improvement in our machine learning pipelines, fleet operations, and engineering analysis.

Our office is located in Hayward, CA about 25-30 mins average commute from most places in the Bay Area. We offer competitive pay and a great team environment.

What you will do:

Work with engineers and users to design, build, and test web applications
Rapidly prototype and debug front end software
Seek to understand all aspects, business and technical, of the applications on which you work so that you can be most effective
Continually learn and apply relevant software development practices, patterns, tools and technologies
Grow your knowledge and skill set

What you bring to the table:

BS in CS or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in frontend development, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React JS Single Page Applications (SPA)
An understanding of basic UX principles and design

Preferred qualifications:

Full stack experience using a React SPA with Flask backend while implementing REST APIs utilizing Object Relational Mapping
Experience with test driven development
Proficiency with acceptance testing documentation and automated testing with puppeteer
Demonstrated proficiency with Linux and DevOps
