- A high school diploma or GED, or 10 years of work experience, is required.

- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- The role requires constant standing and walking, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, gripping, keyboard use, data entry, near and distance vision, and hearing and speech for information sharing.
- The role requires occasional bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting, repetitive foot and leg movements, repetitive hand and arm movements, and handling objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds.

- Set up and operate autologous blood processing devices.

- Set up and operate bone marrow concentration devices.
- Ensure perfusion packs, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, cell saver equipment, and supplies are available for scheduled and emergency surgeries.
- Assemble, maintain, clean, and calibrate equipment, and maintain adequate supplies and stocked carts.
- Document assessments, activities, and procedures properly.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other assigned duties.
