Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field is required.
  • Five to seven years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or a related field is required.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards is required.
  • Proficiency in using inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers is required.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, acceptance test procedures, and similar technical materials is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Oral, written communication, and presentation skills are required.
  • Organizational and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Ability to motivate team members is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful and dynamic environments is required.
  • The employee must be able to sit for prolonged periods, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Interface with quality personnel at customer and supplier levels.
  • Read blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications using rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers when applicable.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products and grade, classify, or sort products according to applicable specifications.
  • Support First Article Inspection activities in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, conditioning samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
  • Record inspection or test data and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment that do not meet specifications.
  • Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status.
  • Interpret test results, compare them with established specifications and control limits, and recommend whether data is appropriate for release.
  • Maintain Quality Control documentation.
  • Assist with Quality Control activities as directed.
  • Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems.
  • Complete documentation supporting testing procedures, including data record forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
  • Calibrate, validate, or maintain quality control equipment.
  • Develop and conduct computational analysis for internal and external validation testing as necessary.
  • Communicate with suppliers about ongoing issues, create and submit Supplier Corrective Action Requests as needed, and assess Supplier Corrective Action Request responses.
  • Assess discrepant material, create Discrepant Material Requests, and notify the Material Review Board for disposition.
  • Identify root causes and applicable corrective actions related to quality issues.
  • Execute quality control protocols and provide feedback to management for potential improvements.
  • Develop documentation supporting testing procedures for New Product Introduction.
  • Conduct and record internal training to ensure compliance with quality procedures.
  • Provide support to other engineering areas of operation.
  • Execute additional tasks and ad hoc projects required to support operational sustainability, improvement, and optimization.
