As our customers rapidly adopt LLMs and Generative AI for their business, we’re building the next-generation AI Developer platform to accelerate their development. We’re seeking a dedicated engineering team lead to drive building our AI Developer platform to help users track experiments, evaluate model and LLM application performance, version and reproduce them, and overall empower users to build better models faster.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading a talented engineering team to build products and services to support AI development workflows
Drive strategic vision for the team and product, simplify the product experience for developing AI models, and drive adoption of key ML capabilities
Develop engineering leaders and support engineers in their career development
Grow the team by hiring strong engineering talent
Implement robust processes to efficiently execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with organizational goals and priorities

What we look for:

5+ years experience working in cloud infrastructure and platform services
Experience building, growing, and managing high-performance teams
Effective in working cross-functionality with product management and directly with customers; ability to deeply understand customer needs
Experience defining and meeting SLOs for highly available systems
Ability to attract and hire engineers who meet the Databricks hiring standards
Experience building AI/ML infrastructure (highly preferred)
BS in Computer Science or related field (Masters or PhD Preferred)

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
