Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • One year of experience in a computerized clinical laboratory is required for Information Technologist I.
  • General knowledge of testing performed in all laboratory areas is required.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and responsibility with minimal supervision is required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to quickly resolve customer issues or problems is required.
Responsibilities
  • Use effective written and verbal communication skills to work cooperatively with customers and employees.
  • Support laboratory marketing activities through customer service and regular communication with clients and potential clients.
  • Utilize the Laboratory Information System and Hospital Information System computer systems to perform inquiries, order tests, enter results and comments, generate billing, issue credits, and generate worksheets.
  • Direct routine and special courier runs for specimen pickup, handle client special requests, and identify and resolve client or laboratory delivery problems.

  • A degree in science, computer science, or business is preferred.
