Observability Monitoring Engineer
Key Role:
Focus on maintaining high system reliability and performance by managing and optimizing AIOps platforms. Configure and run advanced monitoring tools, handle observability tasks, and oversee auto remediation workflows. Automate processes, improve system efficiency, and ensure rapid issue resolution.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in system reliability, observability, and incident management
Experience with integrating new services into monitoring frameworks and managing performance metrics
Experience with system monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis
Experience with gathering and incorporating requirements from service owners to ensure performance goals are achieved
Experience with observability and monitoring platforms, such as Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog, or ServiceNow Operation Platform, for comprehensive application and system oversight
Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or Bash, and infrastructure management tools
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization, such as Docker or Kubernetes
Experience managing AIOps and observability projects
Experience in ITIL and ITSM best practices
Ability to lead discussions and reach consensus among various stakeholders to conduct planning
Ability to be self-driven, work independently, and handle multiple tasks concurrently
Possession of excellent interpersonal and client service skills
ITIL, SRE, or observability and monitoring platform certifications
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
