Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Ability to contribute independently and in a geographically distributed, matrixed team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, board- and system-level laboratory bring-up, debugging, and characterization skills.
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics and transmission-line concepts, including reflection and terminations, timing and jitter, crosstalk and noise, channel modeling and serializer/deserializer equalization, power delivery networks, and decoupling.
  • Familiarity with printed circuit board stackup design, line geometries, printed circuit board materials and surface finishes, vendor capabilities, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with high-bandwidth real-time and sampling oscilloscopes, phase-noise analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, vector network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Proficiency with signal-integrity simulation and analysis tools including Advanced Design System, High-Frequency Structure Simulator, HSPICE, Sisoft QSI, QCD, Cadence Allegro, Sigrity, PowerSI, and MATLAB.
  • Experience with signal-integrity simulation models including IBIS, IBIS-AMI, S-parameters, and COM analysis.
  • Knowledge of interface standards including DDR3/4, PCIe Gen 2/3, 10GKR, SATA, XFI, XAUI, CAUI, and CDAUI.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present concepts, analyses, and updates to larger teams and forums.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a centralized signal-integrity team supporting next-generation technologies.
  • Deliver system-level signal-integrity solutions for large, complex, high-speed systems, boards, and packages.
  • Own all aspects of signal-integrity design, from design feasibility through product validation.
  • Develop signal-integrity rules, build design guides and checklists, review design implementation, create test plans, and document characterization and measurement reports.
  • Improve and optimize design margins through interconnect, timing, and crosstalk analysis, three-dimensional electromagnetic analysis, and channel simulations for high-speed designs.
  • Assess signal-integrity trade-offs and the impact of system-design factors, and provide technical assessments and progress updates to signal-integrity management.
  • Design and characterize test structures and channel models to correlate simulations and measurements for serializer/deserializer links and interconnects.
  • Collaborate with hardware designers, layout engineers, software engineers, manufacturing engineers, ASIC engineers, original design manufacturers, and vendors.
  • Work simultaneously on multiple programs and assignments while adapting to changing design requirements.
  • Share technical knowledge, mentor team members, and apply best practices with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

SMCI projects $65B–$72B revenue, lifting Dell and HPE shares in pre-market trading

Super Micro Computer projected fiscal 2027 revenue of $65–$72 billion, significantly exceeding the analyst consensus of $52.50 billion. The guidance sent SMCI shares up roughly 9% in pre-market trading Wednesday. HPE and Nvidia expand AI infrastructure partnership to take on Super Micro and Dell

Hewlett Packard Enterprise and NVIDIA have expanded their partnership to deliver integrated AI infrastructure combining hardware, software, and cloud management. The collaboration centres on HPE AI Factory with NVIDIA, a turnkey solution merging HPE's compute, storage, and networking with NVIDIA's GPUs, CPUs, and AI Enterprise software. Rigetti to deliver 9-qubit system for $5M NSF-funded hybrid quantum-classical supercomputer testbed

Rigetti Computing will supply a 9-qubit Novera quantum computing system to Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center's new TangleLab testbed, funded by a $5 million National Science Foundation grant. The project expands Rigetti's collaboration with HPE to develop quantum-enabled high-performance computing systems. The testbed will integrate the quantum system with classical HPC infrastructure.
