Requirements
  • Expert-level background in access control, closed-circuit television, and burglar/intrusion alarm systems.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in the commercial security systems field.
  • Ability to lift or move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
  • Ability to differentiate colors.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform overhead work for long periods.
  • A current, valid driver's license in the state of application and the ability to meet company driving standards.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose complex, intermittent, or unresolved system issues, including issues spanning multiple systems, subcontractors, or network environments.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and serve as the final escalation point for field issues.
  • Professionally service access control, closed-circuit television, and burglar/intrusion alarm systems.
  • Program project systems to a high standard, including global/local input/output logic, cross-panel linkages, and event-driven automations.
  • Perform advanced customized programming for partner needs.
  • Complete high-level system integration and programming using networks and servers.
  • Integrate systems with third-party platforms such as Active Directory, building management, and visitor management through application programming interfaces, software development kits, or scripting.
  • Research, test, and engineer fixes for undocumented problems and drive permanent resolutions.
  • Identify systemic issues across projects or partner sites.
  • Act as a technical consultant during project design and flag integration risks.
  • Complete internal project audits and uphold installation quality standards.
  • Write course content and provide technical expertise for internal learning and development initiatives.
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to technicians.
  • Collaborate with other Elite Resources to create standard operating procedures, work exemplars, and training sessions.
  • Communicate daily progress and necessary service-call or project information to partner and internal staff.
  • Complete project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, head-end documentation, installation-quality photographs, and other required closeout documents.
