The system works by offering specialized care in its Level I Trauma Center and burn unit while managing over one million outpatient visits annually across its various neighborhood locations. Unlike many private hospitals, Parkland serves as the primary teaching facility for UT Southwestern Medical Center and maintains a heavy focus on community outreach and school-based healthcare. The organization’s goal is to provide accessible medical care and health education to patients and their families throughout the North Texas region.
