The Team
Primary focus is in the Counterparty Research space, working with Research Analysts and Quant peers to build robust analytics, insights and processes to enhance the way we analyze our counterparties and serve our stakeholders. This role is core to building a strong analytics platform to support data driven insights into the health of our counterparties.
Responsibilities
- Assist Credit Analysts in fulfilling some functions of Credit Research including: financial statement modelling of Fidelity bank and broker/dealer counterparties, research counterparty credit profiles (including country, industry, market conditions, economic and political risks), understand the nature of Fidelity’s business with counterparties, including trading and investment opportunities.
- Work with economic and financial data sets to draw analytical conclusions.
- Work on ad-hoc projects and collaborate with other CRA functional teams.
Experience and Education
- The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated leadership or initiative in studies and extracurricular activities as well as an academic and intellectual interest in the financial services industry.
- Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate bachelor’s degree program
- Demonstrated interest in learning the foundations of the Asset Management International Compliance program
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects, juggle multiple priorities and manage to deadlines.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
- Demonstrate a strong interest in financial markets. A basic understanding of bank financial statements and the regulatory environment preferred.
- Excel knowledge: ability to handle large datasets, V-lookup, Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.
- Fluency in English required (spoken, reading and writing)
