Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a large, globally distributed engineering organization, ensuring teams are engaged, productive, and growing. Provide mentorship and succession planning, act as a force multiplier.
  • Implement, deploy, and support mission‑critical gateway and access platforms comprising thousands of servers globally, with expectations of zero downtime and the highest levels of cybersecurity.
  • Lead the long‑term strategy and architecture for next‑generation access and gateway systems aligned with VisaNet and OVN modernization.
  • Leverage AI and automation to drive innovation, accelerate delivery, and improve operational resilience without compromising accuracy, define and track AI metrics that evidence high‑performing teams.
  • Build strong cross‑functional partnerships with Technology, Product, Client Services, and Risk & Compliance, represent Gateway Services and PPD with credibility at senior executive levels.
  • Maintain a total quality mindset, ensuring the right processes, tooling, and metrics are in place for sustainable, scalable delivery.
  • Drive execution with urgency, clarity, and accountability in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and personal accountability.
  • Occasional travel to Singapore and other U.S. locations is required.

Desired Qualifications
  • 15+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in mission‑critical, high‑availability platforms.
  • Prior experience in payments or similarly regulated environments operating fault‑tolerant systems (99.999% availability or higher).
  • Proven track record delivering large‑scale platforms end‑to‑end, including budget ownership, capacity planning, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated, production‑grade use of AI to improve engineering productivity, operational effectiveness, and production support.
  • Strong capability in hiring, retaining, and developing top technical talent, including leadership succession.
  • Expertise in open systems and technologies (e.g., Linux, TCP/IP, Java, distributed systems) with a strong security foundation.
  • Exceptional communication skills across written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation contexts.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
