Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of four years of related experience is required.
  • Strong data and analytical skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, analyze, and present detailed profit and loss analyses to the NewYork-Presbyterian Enterprise.
  • Using knowledge of finance and training on the cost accounting system (Strata), build and maintain revenue and cost models which support senior leadership decision-making on strategic, capital and service line investments.
  • Serve as a liaison between Decision Support and local hospital operational and service line leadership to foster continuous improvement to costing and revenue methodologies so that the best, most accurate and reliable information is reflected in the profit and loss reports.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary finance team to support overall Decision Support initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience in cost accounting, managed care, or reimbursement methodologies is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Strata, Epic, Lawson is preferred.
  • Proven proficiency in cost accounting design/methodology and previous experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in maintaining health care decision support systems or SQL databases is preferred.
