Medline Industries, LP has an immediate need for a Business Operations Analyst to join our team! This role will follow a hybrid schedule, out of our downtown Chicago, IL Merchandise Mart location.
Under general supervision, the Business Operations Analyst will perform intermediate level operational coordination, ad hoc analysis and project management to drive growth & continuous improvement for Medline’s Dynacor Kitting business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work directly with internal teams (such as Supply Chain, Production, Quality, IT, Finance, Sales) to solve cross-functional challenges and drive continuous improvement across the Medline’s Kitting Organization.
- Support the business with RFP bid price analysis, high-level supply chain coordination and day-to-day operational tasks.
- Apply financial concepts & advanced Excel modeling techniques to streamline reporting and support decision based ad hoc analysis.
- Develop & implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices to improve operational efficiency, service and cost across the Medline Kitting organization.
- Serve as project lead and communicate status updates on active projects, trending issues and response efforts to stakeholders & business leadership.
- Monitor for data accuracy, timeliness and integrity in data used in analysis and reporting. Communicate to appropriate personnel if data inaccuracies exist.
- Develop productive working relationships and establish credibility with internal team members in a way that aligns with Medline culture and contributes to a positive and healthy workplace environment.

Education
Relevant Work Experience- At least 2 years of experience in an analytical role.
Additional - Position requires travel up to 5-15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
- Experience with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and computer system technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Accounting.
Relevant Work Experience- Experience in an analytical role in a supply chain, quality, sales, marketing or similar role in a healthcare organization.
AdditionalAbility to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
Ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics.
- Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
Experience controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines.
Experience and skills in influencing, leading and directing individuals in multiple functional areas.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM/VLOOKUP function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap,
sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
- Experience using business analytical skills including facilitating requirements sessions and documenting activity workflows and business requirements.
- Experience with SAP
