  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1-2 years of full-time professional experience with coordinating events (experience with professional event coordination, community organizing, the innovation ecosystem, or community building strongly preferred)
  • Availability on nights and weekends
  • A natural interest in helping/supporting others

  • Starting compensation is $51,233 per year

  • Two weeks of vacation (more with seniority) plus thirteen holidays from the start
  • Coordinating event details through the entire process (from start to finish): communicating with building management and security, updating the Certificate of Insurance for vendors, issuing quotes, invoices, tracking and collecting payments, ensuring all event details are clear to the CIC team and in line with CIC policies, acting as a resource to event hosts during the event, and managing event follow-up and evaluation
  • Day-of event support: ready and available to respond to issues, solve and execute last-minute problems that arise in-the-moment during events
  • Designing event flyers, calendars, in print and digital collateral, and branding for events and programming
  • Developing the annual events and engagement report
  • Attending events as a CIC representative, including startup and entrepreneurial events
  • Attend and support day-of event execution for Venture Cafe's Thursday Night Gatherings
  • Collaborating consistently with Venture Cafe Philadelphia and the University City Science Center to help shape the bustling programming hosted at 3675 Market St
  • Collaborating with the Assistant Director of Programs and Partnerships, Concierge team, and Sales team on projects to improve event services and community engagement
  • Developing and using event data tracking systems similar to CRM, Tripleseat, or other tools that measure success and collect event experience feedback
  • With guidance from the Assistant Director of Programs & Partnerships, lead the collaboration with CIC Philadelphia's operations team to put together engaging community events like paint nights, game nights, and more!
