Simplify Jobs

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • March 2026 Trovit and Mitula acquisition added Spain, Italy, and Latin American inventory.
  • July 2026 Joblift asset purchase deepened Germany, giving Adzuna larger DACH reach.
  • Adzuna now claims presence in over 20 countries, increasing recruiter demand and dataset scale.

What critics are saying

  • Adzuna still reports Series C funding only; fresh capital access looks limited in 2026.
  • Joblift integration, plus Trovit and Mitula migrations, can break product quality and sales execution.
  • Indeed, LinkedIn, and Google can crush traffic; Adzuna becomes a dependent aggregator middleman.

What makes Adzuna unique

  • Adzuna bought Trovit and Mitula jobs in March 2026, expanding beyond UK roots.
  • Its April 2025 ApplyIQ and 2025 AI search prioritize intent, matching, and applications.
  • Seiza rebranded as Adzuna on February 2, 2026, unifying search, social sourcing, and employer tools.

We're delighted to share that Adzuna has officially acquired the jobs businesses of Trovit and Mitula, two market-leading search engines under the Lifull Connect group. The acquisition marks our third acquisition in four years, further strengthening our position as one of the world's leading global job search platforms. Findem to Acquire Glider to Deliver Hire-Ready Candidates and disrupt the $650 billion staffing industry. Findem, the AI platform for talent outcomes, today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Glider AI, a skills validation platform. Together, the companies will deliver an AI-powered hiring solution that produces hire-ready candidates - candidates who are discovered, assessed and verified before they reach hiring managers. Why 65% of tech leaders are pivoting to specialized contract talent in 2026. Tech teams face constant skills gaps, with 87% of leaders struggling to find qualified full-time hires. According to Robert Half's latest workforce research, 65% of technology leaders increased their reliance on contract talent last year. This is not a reaction to layoffs, funding cycles, or temporary uncertainty. It reflects a deeper reset in how leaders think about their operations, their bottom line, and their ability to compete. EU parliament passes AI Act Omnibus. The latest European Union (EU) update on the AI Act changes the timeline, but not the direction, for the online recruiting market. The core rules remain in place, but the path toward implementation has become more realistic, giving job platforms additional time to prepare, especially as they move from simple job listings toward matching, targeting and outcome-driven recruiting. For job boards, the key question is no longer whether AI regulation matters. It is where the real risk sits, what has actually changed, and how to use this extra time wisely. The most active startup acquirers of the past 3 years aren't always who you'd expect. Companies that buy a lot of startups don't always have a lot in common. Per Crunchbase data, the most prolific acquirers of seed- and venture-backed startups in recent years are Salesforce, OpenAI and Snowflake. Grab a sustainable competitive advantage - join the TAtech network. TAtech: The Network for Talent Technology Solutions is a comprehensive resource hub for talent technology companies worldwide. Its mission is to help accelerate their growth and profitability through year-round support that helps them establish market and technology partnerships, promote their product and company brands, and reinforce their business leadership.

Adzuna upgrades AI search tech to deliver industry-leading job matching

Adzuna upgrades AI search tech to deliver industry-leading job matching. Adzuna is excited to announce the global launch of a groundbreaking AI search technology, delivering market-leading search result relevance and outperforming competitors by over 25% on average. * Brand-new AI search that understands user search intent, not just keywords, to deliver better job matches * Adzuna's new search puts it #1 in industry ranking of most relevant search results * Designed to help employers get better quality candidate matches and improve the application rate per user by 20% Adzuna is excited to announce the global launch of a groundbreaking AI search technology, delivering market-leading search result relevance and outperforming competitors by over 25% on average. Adzuna's Search Quality Index analysed 4,500 search results for 50 top job titles across nine leading UK job search platforms in October 2025, rigorously testing search results relevance and variety, to identify who is delivering the most relevant and comprehensive results to help jobseekers find the right role. Adzuna's new search leads the industry overall, achieving the best balance between relevance and variety. Drawing on over a decade of machine learning AI expertise to power its smarter AI job search and candidate-to-employer matching, Adzuna's new proprietary AI search understands what jobseekers really mean when they search - even when the keywords don't exactly match the job, or the queries are detailed and complex - and matches them with the most relevant job opportunities. For example, a search for "graduate accounting role in tech or media" will return relevant positions such as "Graduate Finance Assistant" and "Audit Assistant". For employers and hiring managers, the new search experience drives better quality candidate matches and greater jobseeker engagement, resulting in higher quality applications, faster time-to-hire, and lower recruitment costs. Doug Monro, CEO and co-founder of Adzuna, comments, "I am pleased to share that our AI search is live, making Adzuna the job site that delivers the most relevant and diverse search results. Millions of users worldwide are now benefiting from faster, more relevant job searches - and better matched job alerts - every month, while employers and hiring managers see broader talent reach and higher-quality applications. This is a real game-changer and, alongside our other AI tools like ValueMyCV, Prepper and ApplyIQ, shows how Adzuna harnesses AI to empower both jobseekers and employers. We believe that AI, used responsibly, can and will create a positive and meaningful impact on the job market and people's lives." Hung Lee, Curator at Recruiting Brainfood, comments, "With the cost of living crisis, anaemic economic growth and the rise of AI reshaping the employment landscape, looking for a job has never been more challenging. It's fantastic to see companies like Adzuna continue to innovate on behalf of the jobseeker. Improved search which recognises user intent rather than just matching on keywords will be a step change improvement in delivering relevant results for the jobseeker, and by doing so, deliver better qualified, more motivated candidates for the employer." Adzuna's smarter search is now live in major international markets, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.
