Infra and Cloud Operations Lead @ ShyftLabs

Job Description:

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions that align with the company’s objectives and cloud strategy.

Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate and optimize cloud deployments, and CI/CD pipelines, and ensure a seamless infrastructure-as-code (IaC) environment.

Enforce best practices for cloud security, including managing access controls, monitoring security compliance, and conducting regular security assessments.

Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on performance or security.

Lead disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring data integrity and availability across all cloud services.

Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends to recommend and implement improvements to the cloud infrastructure.

Manage and oversee the organization’s on-premises servers, storage, and networking appliances, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and integration with cloud services.

Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades of on-premises infrastructure to meet security standards and operational requirements.

Develop and implement strategies for seamless integration between cloud-based and on-premises environments, optimizing for efficiency, cost, and performance.

Oversee the physical security, environmental monitoring, and overall health of the on-premises data center and related infrastructure components.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years proven experience managing complex cloud infrastructure.

Certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud.

Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.

Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
