With Intelligence are recruiting a Learning & Development Manager to join our London based team. We are a leading provider of business intelligence, data and insights on the global asset management industry. The Role
As part of our HR Strategy, we aim to develop our people to succeed in their roles, careers, and as individuals.
Our Learning & Development Manager is a newly created, global, standalone role within the wider HR team, reporting into the CHRO and with a dotted line to the Head of Talent. To be successful in the role you will collaborate effectively with our People & Culture Partners and line managers to understand the L&D needs and priorities across the business; helping them to achieve their business goals and working with them to drive culture, talent and transformation.
You will own the design and delivery of all learning, performance, and development activity in With Intelligence in support of the Company and HR strategies to enhance talent and management capability. Leveraging our LMS (Go1), you will develop and deliver internal L&D interventions using a blended learning approach that includes creating relevant learning content, playlists, curriculum and programmes, media, and online training where necessary – always considering the company culture, values, and our tone of voice.
Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential, along with solid experience of designing, delivering and promoting high-quality Learning & Development solutions, with a commercial lens on impact and ROI. As a credible subject matter expert, you will bring a passion to nurture and champion a learning culture across the business; with the ability to instil trust and remain unflappable in a fast paced and changeable environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the business to design relevant and impactful L&D programmes, interventions and initiatives, which appeal to a range of learning styles and caters for colleagues in different regions/international offices.
- Own and leverage the Learner Management Systems (LMS) to design relevant curriculum, content and L&D programmes for the business, including user training / experience.
- Design and deliver a suite of essential management training programmes for existing managers and new managers including: understanding people management responsibilities & practical guidance on process & skills in role, i.e. performance management & difficult conversations; communication; reward & development; recruitment; managing at WI.
- Act as the L&D subject matter expert, keeping abreast of latest trends and developments in L&D practice; coaching and counselling the business and stakeholders on L&D thought leadership and practices; identifying opportunities to improve our L&D procedures, solutions, systems, and practices.
- Work closely with People & Culture Partners and business stakeholders to understand the L&D needs and priorities in line with strategic and organisational priorities
- Benchmark our current skills requirements, identify strengths, areas of risk and develop an understanding of the skills we will need now and in the future.
- Own the L&D ad hoc learning policy and carry out appropriate monitoring/reporting on uptake and budget usage by function.
- Constantly measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the L&D programmes and initiatives you or external parties deliver to continuously improve our offer and deliver ROI.
- Collaborate with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to create comprehensive training agendas and materials; and support with the development and maintenance of learning & training materials such as manager guides, workshop design & plans, process & policy documentation, lunch & learns, personal development plans.
- Act as the Trainer / Facilitator for L&D workshop delivery. Own the content and schedule for delivering and arranging lunch and learn sessions.
- Constantly educate the business about our L&D offering and solutions, championing the development of a learning culture.
- Support with Talent Management, performance management and succession planning initiatives.
- Maintain, iterate and update all training materials and design new content that meets learning and strategic objectives, as well as legislative compliance.
- Produce regular L&D reporting, statistics and analysis to track progress against strategy and impact on L&D delivery and ROI.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects as required.
- Some travel may be required with the job.
- Proven experience as an L&D Manager; experience in a similar business would be advantageous.
- A passionate L&D expert with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of L&D processes and practices, training/workshop facilitation and delivery, programme and curriculum design; employee development; skills training; talent management.
- An engaging, personable, credible and impactful training facilitator, coach and storyteller; with the ability to address and flex for global audiences.
- Proven experience of delivering impactful training initiatives and ROI, with a blended learning approach.
- Extensive experience of working with Learner Management Systems (LMS) to: design and build training content and curricula, design modular learning programmes, produce reporting and analytics.
- Proven experience working within a fast-paced environment, partnering closely with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
- Flexible personal style, proven ability to influence at all levels of an organisation and challenge thinking in an appropriate, useful way.
- Experience of managing budgets as well as building and maintaining effective relationships with third-party training providers.
- Experience or desire to work within a truly international team.
