Electro-mechanical Engineering Intern

We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Target Rock team in the NuTorque Actuation group. As an Engineering Intern, you will assist in the design and manufacturing of specialized actuation devices. You will perform design calculations, create and revise engineering drawings, generate assembly procedures, and create test reports. You will also coordinate various engineering projects with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers as directed by the Engineering Manager.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY.

Hourly pay: $18- $20 an hour

Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

Your Challenge

• Preparation and revision of engineering drawings using SolidWorks CAD
• Preparation of assembly procedures
• Design and build assembly fixtures
• Generate qualification test reports
• Interface with engineers and assembly technicians to ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

What You Bring

• Must be a US citizen
• Actively pursuing Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Working knowledge of electromechanics and power transmission systems is a plus
• Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks
