Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience in professional work preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst
  • Extensive experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting and managing business, functional and technical requirements
  • Specific knowledge of Insurance Industry operations preferred
  • Act in accordance with established IAS Standard Operating Procedures and maintain confidential information
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills for varying audiences within the organization
  • Display flexibility with priorities within a dynamic work environment
  • Exhibit self-direction and proactive problem solving
  • Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Demonstrate successful hands on project experience with varying scope and size
  • Use tact when expressing ideas or opinions to respond to objections successfully. Facilitation skills are preferred
  • Work to develop a broad technical knowledge of IAS Operational systems, processes, and procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
  • Research, evaluate, and analyze data and work flow processes to develop business requirements and/or present recommendations on process improvement and new project requests
  • Facilitate meetings across multiple departments to ensure accuracy of business and user requirements, develop test scenarios, acquire user approvals, and coordinate training
  • Facilitate work sessions with technical resources and Quality Assurance to ensure all parties understand the business needs, and to discuss potential solutions, timelines, and any project dependencies
  • Work independently and lead assignments/projects of low to moderate complexity
  • Accept and manage changing priorities and address issues swiftly and professionally
  • Provide troubleshooting and analytical support to end users or other IT staff when necessary
  • Adopt the culture of responsibility and accountability for one's own and other team members' contributions to the success of the company
  • May be involved in QA/UAT activities
  • As needed, miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
