Requirements
  • Certified Business Continuity professional (MBCI (BCI), CBCP (DRII) or higher)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, at least 5 of which are in a Business Continuity specific role, preferably within a financial services environment
  • Working knowledge of BC operations in an ISO22301 certified organisation, or in an organisation actively working towards this certification
  • Exposure to the complete BCM lifecycle
  • Aware of Operational Resilience (OR) and other resilience regulation that apply within the Finance industry
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement at all levels
  • Professional presentation skills and proficiency in standard Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Results orientated, self-motivated and capable of prioritising and organising workloads
  • Ability to work autonomously in a multi-discipline, cross-jurisdictional environment
  • Consulting skills and an ability to grasp abstract concepts and complex situations
  • Ability interpreting and balancing commercial issues within the confines of BCM
  • Ability to take ownership and demonstrate initiative, to negotiate, consult, influence, build consensus cross-functionally and successfully navigate within a demanding environment
  • Experience of implementing or working with digital BCMS and / or Crisis Management and communications tools would be an advantage
