Requirements
- One to three years of experience is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is desired.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
- Annual certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent coverage of all self-checkout activities, ensure all sales are accurately captured, and provide guest service in a safe environment.
- Direct traffic flow for speedy checkout, meet guest needs, open additional checkout options, request assistance as needed, and assist cashiers with overrides and questions.
- Create and manage daily schedules and control sheets, dictate the break and lunch plan, maintain front-end coverage, and monitor cash-control procedures as needed.
- Assist the Front End Leader with ownership of auxiliary front-end lines of business, such as gift cards and candy.
- Take ownership of the front end when the Front-End Leader is not on duty and act as the point person for the front end.
- Ensure daily compliance activities are completed and take ownership of assigned compliance topics, including anti-money laundering, scale and PIN pad checks, and Women, Infants, and Children procedures.
- Order front-end supplies while managing costs.
- Train and coach front-end team members on efficiencies, best practices, service culture, and loss-prevention tactics using tools such as the Cashier Coach Pad.
- Support the Front End Leader with special projects or champion assignments.
