The Structural Heart and Aortic integrated operating unit offers minimally-invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function of the heart and the aorta. We focus on the transcatheter replacement or repair of the four heart valves—aortic, pulmonic, mitral, tricuspid—and the placement of stent grafts to treat aneurysms and dissections of the body’s largest artery, the aorta.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development.
• Designs studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise.
• May be involved in product research and development and/or clinical trials.
• Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements (To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume):
 

• Bachelors degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have:

• Individual has demonstrated the ability to strategizing and implement any necessary design changes, including working directly with technicians for builds and test flow.
• Preferred design experience in Heart Valve implants and knowledge of soft goods valve materials (fabric, suture, tissue)
• Experience with leading Root Cause Investigation activities and methodology.
• Experience with Design transfer activities to manufacturing location.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.  Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$123,200.00 - $184,800.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance,Health Savings Account,Healthcare Flexible Spending Account,Life insurance, Long-term disability leave,Dependent daycare spending account,Tuition assistance/reimbursement, andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
