Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with Oracle 12C/11g, including developing and debugging stored procedures.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience writing application software and performing data analysis and data access.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing, and implementation.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience producing technical and user documentation and performing software conversions.
  • Exposure to environments including mainframes, mid-range systems, personal computers, and laptops.
  • Experience leading the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Develop system design specifications.
  • Develop and prepare general solution designs that meet system and security requirements, including selecting alternative approaches.
  • Develop specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, networks, security, storage, and software configurations.
  • Develop structured diagrams for databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security programs, and network programs.
  • Develop, compile, maintain, and document configurations for databases, servers, computers, security and network monitoring systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems.
  • Develop system documentation.
  • Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, networks, security, storage, and software.
  • Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques for operational procedures supporting databases, hardware systems, operating-system software, network-system software, security, and client-server systems.
  • Develop detailed systems operations designs.
  • Handle critical scheduled jobs that exchange data among state and city agencies, including monitoring and fixing failures or outages.
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports for senior managers covering system overviews and critical decision-making information.
  • Perform monthly document and application updates.
  • Perform static table updates.
  • Troubleshoot report-related exceptions.
  • Process and re-process data.
  • Clean up committal images to free space on seven E-forms servers.
  • Perform initial and final state file processing.
  • Maintain production database data for allowance and storage-fee payment processing through key data cleanup activities.
  • Handle production incidents by analyzing, triaging, identifying root causes, and fixing bugs.
  • Create unit-test scenarios and data-element requirements.
  • Maintain application versions according to implementation phases and quality-control progress.
