Requirements
  • Professional working proficiency in German and English
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development
  • A profound understanding of CSS, semantic HTML (including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility) and various JavaScript concepts
  • Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, or similar) and server-side rendering frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Nuxt.js) is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of component-based architecture and reusable UI patterns
  • Experience working with APIs, including RESTful and GraphQL, for data fetching and integration with backend services
  • Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and frontend frameworks for e-commerce solutions
  • General experience of building, launching and maintaining stores and general knowledge of the admin system
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with design and backend teams
  • Development experience with responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Experience implementing and debugging 3rd party integrations and building custom solutions where required
  • Strong testing and debugging skills using browser developer tools and testing libraries (e.g., Jest, Cypress)
  • Experience developing for accessibility, SEO, and performance optimization
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain e-commerce applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks like React
  • Contribute to the development of reusable components and common web technologies essential for building seamless multi-channel experiences
  • Build responsive and high performance web applications optimised for mobile, tablet, and desktop
  • Perform regular website testing to ensure functionality, including logging issues, detailing bugs and recommending improvements to PMs
  • Manage daily application updates, edits, changes, or asset uploads within our content management system
  • Work with PMs to support new business sales and pitches
  • Understand security/privacy principles and GPDR
  • Develop test plans and troubleshoot issues related to eCommerce
  • Assist with website conversion and analytics
  • Monitoring and managing website uptime and performance
  • Designing and testing pages on different browsers/devices/clients
  • Implement advanced debugging techniques and use browser developer tools.
